Mid-week day off
The good news:
Had the day off
Spent time with wife
Went for a great ride
Saw the bighorns/goat
Hung out with family later in the day
The Bad News:
The day ended and I have to work again.

Sounds like my mid-week day off.
Went for a ride. Cruised around the trendier parts of Houston (nicer scenery). Stopped and had a big strawberry milkshake. Took my wife out to dinner.
Back to the work week slog today.
Still, yesterday was a good day.

Ha. I also took yesterday off.
The bad: 60 km slog against headwinds and heavy traffic (I always forget about trucks during the weekday. I had the closest call I've ever had with a tractor trailer, inches from my shoulder)
The good: Discovered some absolutely delightful roads on the way back that I'll definitely ride again.
The total: 110 km.
