I am, too, but not from the climbing. After saying I was going to treat this morning's ride (on the Muncie half-Ironman course) as a recovery, I still pushed myself more than I should have and finished with an average of 17.0. My legs have been cramping ever since the drive home. I don't anticipate a restful night.

I got 25 miles in this morning, right now I'm at 260 for the month. Today was my first time using clipless pedals, and I lived to tell about it!

The first of many, I trust. You'll love them. Just don't read my thread in the 50+ forum about my first fall in 25+ years of using them.

She is yes! I cannot believe it either. Hell I do not think I was out of the single digit miles by my 5th ride! She has an easy ride yesterday, her first group ride for 20 miles at a 10-12 mph average pace and the ending pace was 10 mph. It was the "fun and fit" D ride. Too slow for her so I thought I would bump it up a notch today and we did just that this morning. She did well but the last 5 miles were tough on her. The pace was faster and the distance a little more and the roads, some of them, where chip seal which made it tough for her. She is getting there.

She gets really tired after rides (just like ! ) and as I write this, she is next to me laying down sleeping. he he he ......

5/3 - 26.07
5/6 - 34.62
5/8 - 26.09
5/13 - 39.03
5/15 - 30.05
5/17 - 26.08
5/20 - 13.26
5/22 - 30.08
5/24 - 26.08
5/26 - 56.0
5/28 - 48.75

MTD - 356.11
YTD - 612.38

Goal for May - 350. Made it with one Tuesday night training ride to spare. That'll net me another 30. I already know I'm going to miss the Thursday night Bumble B shop ride this week. Too bad - it would have put me over 400 for the month.

By comparing MTD to YTD, you can really see who lives in temperate climates

As of this morning:
MTD: 1350km / 839 miles
YTD: 1904km / 1183 miles

Made my 450 mile goal for the month (currently sitting at 462 with this morning's commute). I really didn't think I'd get there. Feels good.

5-25 did 34.3 miles
5-28 did 35.4 miles

MTD - 372 miles! With at least one more ride this month I will be over 400 and my goal was 300! Less than 2 weeks until Tulsa Tough though, curious to see how I handle 70 miles with 2500'-3000'+ of climbing in this heat.

05/07: 21.1 miles (commute)
05/10: 22.6 miles (commute)
05/11: 24.1 miles w/ 1,100'
05/13: 3.0 miles
05/14: 13.8 miles
05/18: 22.4 miles (commute)
05/23: 23.3 miles (commute)
05/24: 22.9 miles (commute)
05/28: 1 measly mile

MTD: 154.2
Goal: 200

I'm doubtful that I'll reach my goal. Considering that I was sick for 2 weeks this month, and was very busy with other responsibilities that had to take priority (virtually no weekend rides), I think I did pretty good. I'll still try to squeeze in one more commute this week for another 22+ miles, but I think that's all I'll have time for over the next couple days.

Took a dya off from the bike today.... much needed really. Legs still screaming from Saturdays ride and climbing.

Month to date I have 625.5 miles. Goal was 450. I was somewhat nervous about reaching goal this month due to work travel.
