Well I finally did it. After 4 months of losing weight and conditioning my legs I finished 100km in one hit. I've previously done 100+ in multiple sessions in one day, but never on one ride. I paced myself on the first 50 and put the hammer down as much as I could on the way back. I must have paced it right because on the last 5km I met up with another rider who was inclined to be competitive so we raced along for 3km or so at 30km/h up and 45kmh down. I was surprised I had the gas left for that kind of effort in the last 5km. My program of conditioning must be working.
