The "I Probably Shouldn't Have Eaten That" Thread!

Some of us are on diets or being careful with what we eat and how much we eat, but every once in a while, we consciously say to ourselves, "Yeah, I shouldn't eat that...but I'm gonna!". Then we resolve to ride an extra 10 miles as penance for our sins.

Today's transgression: deep fried mac n cheese balls. Mac n cheese scooped into a ball, breaded and deep fried. This was the substitute for the fries I would've had w/ my cheeseburger.

Penance: do the same jog I was gonna do after work, but maybe tack on an extra mile. That's if I don't pass out on the sofa as soon as I get home.

So sinners, what did you eat today that you could've done without?

Nothing.

Breakfast: A can of wild sardines on two small slices of artisan spelt bread with a little garlic mustard.

Lunch: A medium-size serving of sushi.

Likely Dinner: Pan-seared swordfish with carmelized endive and an olive roll.

If I go to happy hour, the answer to your question will be "that second Manhattan."

Begone! and don't come back til you've eaten something that was deep fried in lard.

The pizza I had on Saturday, didn't indulge too much but it's never good for anyone.

The Wendy's $3 run late Sunday night....I totally shouldn't have had that.

For penance I will relentless push myself on an early Saturday morn ride, I might even make it a century just because. But we will see how I feel by then, doc yesterday told me I have a slightly bulging disk that is putting pressure (and PAIN!) on my legs and lower back.

My eating habits have greatly improved, and when I do eat nasty I don't eat a lot.

Not today, but several days ago my co-worker offered me some Durian. I certainly could have done without that. The smell is absolutely disgusting. The texture is like velveeta with hair in it. And, to me, it tastes like mango dipped in propane. I had durian flavored burps all night long.

Eww. The occasional side of fries or wings are about the only deepfried things I eat.

Double quarter pounder with Cheese at Mickey Dee's yesterday! But the Weight Watchers plan allows for occasional (weekly) splurges.

Earlier today I purchased two McDoubles and a 4-piece nugget for $3. Tasted great but I feel like sh*t right now. It was my first time eating McDonald's in months..

I don't know what peanut butter pandemonium ice cream is, but I've never wanted something more in my life that wasn't female.

I missed breakfast this morning.... So I'm paying for that now, as I've only got a protein shake to tide me over till tomorrow.

After the Tour de Scottsdale, I had a martini, and some Sushi... (read: a buttload of sushi and wasabi)... I shouldn't have had that, but I did.

I really gotta get serious about dropping my weight or climbing will just never be better.

My swordfish was delish.

Pineapple for breakfast this morning. Don't know about lunch yet. Probably a low-cal soup and salad for dinner.

Unfortunately I come across the smell at least once a week here. I have eaten it a few times. Some people love it, but I have not taken to it myself.

As for the OP, I had a delicious serving of Tiramisu today! Actually even that doesn't really fit the thread, because, I don't regret it for a second, not one bite!

I probably coulda done w/o the fries at lunch. Penance will be riding my bike back from the AYCE bbq pig fest tonight. Riding there is easy, riding back on a full stomach of pork and brew isn't.

It was Ron Zacappa, but 25 year old eldorado is way up on the list too.
