Nashbar Wheelset!

I just pulled the trigger on a set of Vuelta Corsa HD Road Wheelset.

I have read the reviews on here and on nashbar and had long ago decided that this was going to be my replacement wheels. I have been having problems with my 2001 oem alexrim da-16's.

I had been keeping my eye on these wheels for the past few months waiting for them to come into stock. Well today they did and to my surprise along with a 20% discount promo code on any order over $50.

So I got a set of these wheels along with a new cassette shipped (to canada) for $210.

Can't wait to put them on and try them out.

I got a set of the Vuelta track wheels through Nashbar for my son's fixed gear bike... I was VERY impressed. The cones were just a bit tight, but they were perfectly true right out of the box, and still true now, a year later. Vuelta seems to be a real bargain.

I bought a pair of the HD's, earlier in the year. The plan was to use them until I could get enough $$ for a better custom wheelset. I saved and bought a handbuilt set and then used them for a 50 mile ride. I put the Vueltas back on. They (the handbuilt set) are hanging in the garage. I love the Vueltas and have no plans to change them. I put about 1500 miles on them. No problems with them and they are still as true as the day I got them.

Good luck with them.

My brother runs the Vueltas on his Fuji Cross bike (he uses the Vueltas in "road" mode with narrow slicks installed). They look sexy, and he's loved them so far. Not a ton of miles on them, but so far so good.

Good luck!

I was impressed at The Great Look as well as the Great Ride.
Was able to install the tires by hand.

Wow, they look fantastic on your bike.

My bike is black, so I am hoping they look good on mine as well. Once they arrive and I get them installed I will have to post a picture.

It's at an odd angle, but here's another shot while you wait for your rims to show up -- my brother's 2011 Fuji cross bike.

I've also seen them "loaned" to my sis-inlaw's Scattante (dark blue frame) and they look great there too.

Got my wheels, I will have to do a before & after picture for you guys. They look great! I just need to install my 8 speed 11 - 28 on it.

I didn't notice it the first time I looked at your bike 10-wheel. I run a similar pump, mine might be larger though. I currently strap my pump on my top tube, I would like it better on the seat tube where you have it. I will have to play and see what I can do to move it.

I love mine. Only about 600 miles on them but we have rough roads and I ride a bit gravel and crushed rock too. The front was not true or properly dished when I received them but since then they have been perfect. Awesome looks and really not a lot heavier than a whole lot of wheelsets out there. I don't like flats so I run some pretty heavy tires and tubes too. When I put on my Rolf's and liter tires it is noticeable.

The wheels do look great on that BMC of yours, which is a very nice looking bike, BTW.

On an unrelated front, while I'm sure there is much to like about Texas, and lots of things I don't like about California, I noticed a total of four water bottle cages on your BMC. I drink a lot when I ride-- I carry two of these, and often refill them-- but either you really like to drink when riding, or you need all that water down there in Texas because of the weather.

OP, nice deal on those wheels, too. I thought I got a decent deal on the wheels I recently bought, after getting tired of repairing broken spokes on my Mavics (reading this motivated me to ditch the Mavics). But you got a great buy.
