Weight Watcher's meal deas?
Ok all of you fellow WW's...do you have some good recipes, tips, snacks etc you can share? i'm not a good cook at all, so looking for easy meal ideas, particularly lunch and dinner. Thanks for any ideas!

Good questions. I can offer some info:
- With WW, as you may know, you can have pretty much anything. The only cost is points. For example, I can have a lot of what I used to but the points add up quickly which makes me want to eat smarter. A lot of the time the smarter food choices are healthier and I can have more for less.
- Are you an online member? They have some good recipes online.
- The WW cookbooks are actually pretty spot on with quick tasty recipes that should fit the bill for you.
- I would suggest, at some point, that you take some cooking classes. With cooking, you are looking to learn the technique. For example.... how to saute, grill, braise, stew and poach. Cooking classes can be offered at your local community college in the evening or on weekends or your local cooking store. Check with them. Their classes may be geared toward a cuisine but to be frank, all recipes have a technique in it so you will want to watch how they do it. Once you know a technique.... like roasting for example, you can cook a lot of things like roasted vegetables, glazed vegetables, roasted chicken, etc. Same with sauting, grilling and poaching. The more techniques you know the more powerful you will be in the kitchen.
- Then once you know those techniques you can start to play with spices. In the meeting last week, people were complaining about who blah cauliflower tastes. I cannot relate at all. With knowledge of those cooking techniques, spices, and herbs, one can make 1000 different cauliflower dishes.
- I tend to stay away from simple carbs and go more with complex carbs like cous cous, farro, etc.
- For snacks, I love hummus and vegetables. For something sweet, I like to make my own chocolate milk (thanks to BF member Goldfish). Its very easy and low in points. I also love laughing cow cheese. I do like real cheese but I am a cheese lover at heart which can get me into point trouble. Apples are delicious and there is something called Powdered Peanut Butter which is outstanding both for dipping and sauce making. If you would like the link and more info, feel free to PM me.
- Turkey jerky is great too. I do enjoy oatmeal and eggs. I like Pace Salsa as it is free in points.
