there are never deals for tall people...everytime I see a sale, there is never a bike larger than 56-58. Not a 60+ to be had anywhere.

I THOUGHT I had found a bike this morning, I saw competitive cyclist was now showing the ridley noah rs back in stock and 200 cheaper than before, they even showed all sizes. I called, the girl even said they had it. She starts asking me all these questions as if it was going to be built (not was already built), so I asked her if there was any way I could just buy the frame (which is what i wanted to do anyway, but for a 1000 more they had the complete ultegra bike, so I was going that route....she goes to check and comes back and says they dont even have it in stock.

Foiled again.

not sure if you're looking for just an aero bike, but CC has a nice pinn FP Team w/ ultergra for the same price as that noah. It has similar smooth lines in the front triangle. The there is the FP DUE that has straighter front triangle tubes, same build same price but not as sekzy.

That's a darn good deal! Even holds 32 tires for wide comfort. Tiagara is much better than what is usually spec'd on inexpensive bikes. Hmm, rain bike maybe? I thought about it but it only rains 3 or 4 days here so storage wouldn't make sense since I have 2 roadies already, but tempting.

I looked long and hard at that bike, but if you look close the ett is not 60...think it was 59...my current bike is 59.5 and I want to go as large or a bit larger.

I thought the same way, but I went from a 590tt & 120stem compact geo frame to a 575tt & 110 stem but head tube on the cadale 20mm shorter.

There's allot of way to make up that 5mm difference, stem (easy) & longer reach drop bars. 3T makes some nice alum bar and comfy too. I run their Ergosum that has a tad bit longer reach to the hood but a nice shallow drop for hammertime moments

+1...........It's like a $500 bike...you can buy two and still come out ahead. not like spending another 50 to get a comfy fit is going to hurt.

Yes, I had thought of those things...I test rode a trek 6.2 a couple of months back in a 60 with the stock set up. I didn't like it at all. I felt all squished up on the bike. Of course it wasn't fair for me to start asking them to swap stems Etc. for me to just try the bike.

that kind of soured me on anything with a shorter top tube. I am 6'5" after all.


i know cc offers a no questions asked return, but that seems like an awful lot of trouble to get the bike in, then find some stems, try them, decide it doesn't fit right, put it back stock and ship it back for a refund. I did the fit thing on their site and none of the frames really came close to what numbers it spit out...so trying to get as close as possible.

I bought one. Got it yesterday, but it is still in the box. I am a mountain biker & commuter, but decided that I wanted to start doing some charity rides next year and work my way up to a century by the end of the year, if not before. I will put it together this weekend, but I need to get some wider bars for it before I ride it. I am not expecting great things from it, but as my first road bike, I think it will be fine.

Just got an e-mail notification that my Pinarello FP Team has shipped today. I've been going back and forth for months over this bike. White bikes with red trim look so sharp. Then, it was on a Black Friday special, but I was busy and didn't order. I sent an e-mail the following week asking if their '12 Days of Christmas" will feature the FP Team on one of the days; also mentioning that I noticed the price went up after Black Friday. Several e-mails later, I ordered one in my size at the Black Friday discount pricing. They are even going to give me a compact crank instead of the standard at no extra charge. Only thing I don't like is that they couldn't give me the silver Ultegra instead of the dark grey Ultegra. Just my own personal opinion, but I think the bike would like even sharper with the silver group instead of the dark grey group. Now ... to check when Nashbar has free shipping or some other special on their Ultegra wheelset.

p.s. CC has been marketing this bike as an exclusive. However, for 2013, the FP Team is now part of Pinarello's standard product line. The major difference between the 2012 CC version and the 2013 version is that you can now get the bike in several different colors and that the grade of carbon is slightly less. From everything that I've been able to figure out, the bike lies between the Uno/Due and Quattro product line, closer to the Due. The bike/geometry is the same as the Opera Canova, (I think this particular model is very popular in Europe.) It will be nice to have 'Pinarello' on the downtube instead of 'Opera'. Who around here have ever heard of 'Opera'? Not many, I think.

nice that you pulled the trigger on the Pin FP. Its a good looking bike. Nash and Jenson both has those Ult tubless for $420. But nash has free shipping today only

I checked, no 'free shipping'. Oversize delivery costs apply to the wheelsets. Several eBay vendors are selling them at 4 bills, delivered to the front door. I'll pop for that. It's what I paid last year.

p.s. I won't order from Jensen every again. Earlier this year, I ordered a Ultegra compact crankset. Website showed as 'in stock'. After several weeks without a shipping notification, I finally contacted them. They said it was backordered. Several more weeks went by, and no still tock ... so I cancelled the order. Surely, one of their vendors had stock. Just poor service. They didn't earn my loyalty, so I'll take my dollars elsewhere. Such is a free-market economy.
