hi,
For those that don't know Australia QLD has been slamed by rain for the last 4-8 days (depending on where you are)
Had to crawl under that with the bike
That is looking out over a field , the thing is that field is about 2 meters below the path i am standing on
That train track is actually on top of a bridge...
After all the work of going under that tree i can't get though, i paced it out a bit and the water got to over 3feet rather fast . It also had a lot more current than i thought it would . SO back i go to find a different way
Riding down the next bike path, this is a bad sign .
Then i get to this, that little roof thing is a picnic area ....
About this point i just went home

We went through floods last spring and it is amazing the damage water can do. It will be several years before we can drive straight through the state park near where we live. My former paralegal's son got caught up in the flood and had to exit his car through a window. It is lucky he made it out. The car of course was destroyed.
In your first set of photos, do you know what the bird is on the ground in photo #11? (Or maybe it was #10)

At least they aren't protected here. They're just another pesky Aussie import that are susceptible to shotgun usage:-)
