100 Mile Plus Club: March Edition.. March your way to YOUR bike and take a ride!!!

February brought low number for me but a lot of time in the gym and stunning weight loss (knock on wood)

Now we welcome in March. Spring is approaching and hopefully a tad warmer temperatures will follow.

This month, let nail it. Set a goal and go for it!

Who's in?

Iron Chef: 250 miles

January and February mileage really sucked due to personal and health related issues (112.98 miles and 101.17 miles). However, I think I have everything ironed out and I'm ready to tackle March with a vengeance. Going to be shooting for 220 miles this month.

I expect to ride maybe 5 days before my sister gets here then who knows if I will ride at all. I don't think I can even set a goal. But I will report. I do expect to have at least 100 miles in before she gets here.

I'm in for 310 miles to keep my 10 miles/day average. I hope we get some warm, dry spells so I can get some quality road miles like I did back in January.

Also swim 5 miles and run 50 miles.

I know i have some issues with my bike fit so that is going to be touch and go. Today I got a new saddle and Ergon Grips. I don't think i can match my February total of 600 miles but I should be able to match January's total of 337.

3-1 3.87
MTD 3.87
YTD 941.64

I failed in my 200 mile goal for February. In fact, I didn't even make 100. Mea culpa, mea culpa, mea maxima culpa. So this month I will again have a goal of 200 miles.

Last month due to life and the flu I missed my mark for the third month in a row.

I'm shooting for 400 this month. Time to really start ramping things up.

Started it off right with 32.1 miles.

Moving the bar up a little higher this month. Goal for March is 1,000 miles and 50,000 ft of climbing.

3/1: Took light rail in to work and cycled back home. 23 miles down and 977 to go.

I'm in! 200 miles seemed a little too easy of a goal for me last month, since my commuting miles get me pretty close to that. I think I'll set my goal for 250 miles for March.

Good luck everyone!

I'm going to hope for 200 miles, but for 2.5 weeks of it I'm not anywhere near my bike, I can probably get like 50 of them in this weekend, and maybe a few more next week as well. But then I'm off to warmer weather and spending those 2.5 weeks in Thailand!! I understand there's a good bike shop in Chiang Mai where I'll be for the second half of my visit, so I hope to get a decent (non-fixie) bike to tool around the city for the last week or so, during which I expect to seriously run down the battery in my phone running Strava and taking pictures. It's going to be seriously epic.

I'm in for another 400 miles. I'm going to have to take my bike in for some work sometime soon, so I'm not sure I'll make it. My back up bike is not fun for long rides.
