100 Mile Plus + Club: April Edition.. This ain't an April Fool's Joke... Pedal More!!
Alright folks. April April April..... (well almost at least). It's that time again where everyone.....AND I MEAN EVERYONE.... needs to get in more base miles.
Find those cycling clothes, get the cycling shoes out, dust off the helmet, lube the chain, @ss on the bike and start pedaling.
LETS DO THIS!!!

Well, I'm out until July. I can't really be pushing myself to put in extra miles for the next 10 weeks while I am in school five days a week and working three twelve hour night shifts a week as well. My mileage is going to be up anyway as I'll be commuting at least 85 and probably nearly 100 miles a week, instead of the ~45 I have been. The downside is that I won't have ANY time for recreational miles between school, work, commuting, learning chemistry, and sleeping occasionally!
I appreciate the motivation these threads provide though! I'll be back for the summer.
Cheers!

I'm in, been a long winter for me. I got maybe 45 miles in Jan, almost no miles in Feb, and about 75 in March. Spent quite a few hours on the exercise bike in the gym, but real glad the weather is improving. I'll give 150 for April a shot.

I'm going to shoot for 120 in April. I managed 53 in March with very limited weather. Great weekend to wrap it up -- hit 34.
Thanks for this type of motivation and accountability.

Howdy all. I'm a new guy around here. I'm going to shoot for 200 this month. I did about 107 in 8 rides in March. Yesterday I picked up a Giant Composite Defy 3 (upgrading from a Raleigh Misceo.) Broke it in last night with an 18 mile ride to get my 100 for the month. Now I just need to make the upgrade worth the price of admission.

Despite also being signed up for the Spring Classics Challenge on Strava.......... I'm setting my goal for 500 miles. If the weather and work cooperates then I may be able to complete the challenge as well.

Well, failed dismally last month, was 30 miles short of my 100 mile target.
As a result I will put my target at 100 base miles + 30 miles shortage from last month + 20 mile penalty = 150 miles (241 km)
See how we go this month.

Put me down for 100. I lost a lot of progress due to winter, so I'm starting over again. My first few rides will be short, but by the end of the month, I think I can make up lost ground.

Also 500 miles by April 21 for the Velobici Spring Classics Challenge. It's a 50 day, 1086.5 mile challenge that started March 3rd and so far I'm at 586.3 miles.
I'm signed up at "30 days of biking" to ride every day in April.
