I have come to the conclusion that because many of my miles are commuter miles and my work keeps me from commuting all the time......I am going to log my miles, but not commit to a goal.
April 112 miles
For May....
In a perfect world 288 goal.
Realistic 187 goal

2013.05.19 38 miles payment

Well I need 500 miles to get back on pace for a 3000 mile year. But, with yesterdays ride I wrote off one 6 mile road as just too bumpy. And another loop is closed for a bridge replacement. Damn Dept. of Transportation is working against me. Then again I want to get a 68 mile birthday ride in this month. I'll stick with 500 miles. Now out of here for another 20.

I started the month off great. I did 27km with a couple of girlfriends. We had a great morning in the sun riding out into the country then back to one of their houses for blueberry muffins and tea.

My goal is to ride every day to work, then do my wed club ride.
So that equates to 650 km for the month of May.
MTD
299.6 km / 650 km
My phone crapped out for a couple of these rides so its not being reflective on my May Massive stats.

Today's run was a quick blast into town to run a couple of errands. Nothing special, just a few miles on a rather warm day. Broke 1000 miles for the year, finally, no thanks to the weather for the first three months...

4th May - Short 6.5 Mile ride this morning, still trying to get used to the shoes/pedals.
All being well a nice couple of hours of cycling tomorrow through the hills, will report back if I am still alive afterwards

Star Wars Day!
Took a friend out for a quick spin on a road bike, he recently inherited a rather elderly 5-speed that rattles a bit and wants to try a road bike. The LBS has a used bike that fits him perfectly, so he took it out for a ride with me to see how it compared to the elderly 5-speed. Needless to say he was appreciably faster, and we took in a couple of hills I steered clear of last time around because I figured he'd struggle with them.

5th May - 24.75 Miles
Had to abandon my original plan of hill climbing, am still too much out of shape, alarm on the cycling computer kept going off telling me that my heart rate had exceeded max (up to 214 at one stage)
Still managed to find a lot of smaller hills to do today, so day wasn't a total waste.
Total for May - 31.25 Miles
