Awesome bikes. Very versatile, disc brakes, and absolutely cool looking. The newer versions have a crazy-looking lefty rigid fork, and the higher-end versions have a similar-looking fork, but with the Headshok suspension... My wife has an '07 Ultra version (headshok), and she absolutely loves it. When I have to tow the wee ones around, I crank the post up and go for it--it handles my weight (240) just fine. Plenty of clearance for fenders, mounts for racks, etc.
It will be the perfect NYC Urban Assault Vehicle (or something like that...lol). Go for it!

HAHAHA didn't follow there was a "badboy" model. Was outside of my roadie and MTB knowledge. Thanks for the comments on my rig, it rides awesome!! and puts a smile on my face pointed up or down on the hills or head buried in a sprint.

3T ergosums bars 42cm (alum) , 3T Doric Team post (Carbon), 3t Arx Pro stem 6* (alum).
Bars are super comfy, shallow drop w/ a bit longer reach, last or two yr they came out with the 44cm wide which is AWESOME for cross bikes/racing. The extra leverage while off the saddle and in the tight turns is great.....maybe I can buy another cross bike this yr, sold mine last spring.
