First time 25 miles...Made it back in 1 piece...

Well i did 26.4 miles this morning, had to drink 3-1/2 bottles of water but i made it, took me like a little less than 2 hours but i did it and i am not that tired...I feel good with myself for this milestone...just 2 months back on the bike after a 23 years hiatus from cycling...

Congrats on your first 25 miles, I remember my first and had a blast! Think I rode it in less than 2 hours as well.

nice!
I have found that as I ride more, I become less sweaty and therefore need less water.

however yesterday I did my first ''climb'' and was sweating like a pig.

On the flats / rollers I am definitely less sweaty

Savor the milestones. Enjoy all your rides. You came a long way in just a couple of months, and probably couldn't have come this far, this fast on your too small hybrid.

Good for you!

I'm hoping to accomplish the same thing tomorrow. I'm an over 60 clyde, so it's a big deal, to me!

Well i think i could've done it on the Hybrid but slower...It really is easier to put power to the pedal on the CAAD...

Careful with that. Could be that you are use to it, but I work in 115° heat and 99% humidity all summer long. I find that as the day goes on, I sweat less and less. It is because I am becoming dehydrated. Normally I'd bet I put down close to draining the 5 gallon water cooler bottle during an 8-9 hour workday when it's that hot and I'm busy out on the floor for long extended periods of time (normally I'm in and out of the AC office all day.)

I literally begin to sweat 30 seconds after entering the plant floor it is so hot and humid. If I'm not sweating at work, I know there's a problem and I usually down about 4 of my 16 ounce jugs I have for water.
