Hey Clydes! Finally decided it was time to ditch the old 29er and upgrade to something a little better. I was cruising through my LBS here in SOONER Nation and found this slightly used GIANT OCT Two, for a shade over $400 and thought it was a pretty good deal. It came with a computer already installed (Cateye Astrale?), as well as a cheap pair of toe clips which aren't pictured. Let me know what you think, and if you think I overpaid....although there's not much I can do about it now....

Thanks!! I'm very excited about it.

Looks good from here. It's always nice to get a better bike, especially when it doesn't cost a lot!

You might consider rotating your bars down to get a better brake/shifter orientation; it looks a little off, to me. Easy fix, though!

What a gorgeous bike and I think $400 was a fair deal not knowing what components came on it.
BTW, if I had a truck of that size with today's gas prices I'd be looking for a newer bike as well ;)

Now you just need to ditch that Sooner gear in your closet ;)

Congrats!

Haha yeah, 14 MPG is starting to kill me. Luckily I'm only about a mile from school and 6 miles from work so it'll pay for itself very quickly!!

Haha Austin, Texas? I'm sorry.....In all seriousness, I really like UT (Except for one weekend a year!). Very nice campus and a hell of a fun town.

You're definitely right. I had never ridden a bike with drop bars until I test rode it at the bike shop. Being a big guy new to the sport I guess I lack the flexibility to lean that far over so we tilted them back a bit until I get used to the feel of it. It's a work in progress lol

Nice bike...but it would look better with burnt orange instead of red...

Oh, come on now.....

Nice bike, but that stem and handlebars look a little off. Why are the brake/shift levers tilted up?
