Longest ride and highest average?
Just a little fun...how long have you been riding seriously, and what's your longest ride with what average?
I've been at it 9 years. Last 5:
62 miles, 13.2 mph
75 miles, 14
103 miles, 14.2
112 miles, 15
131 miles, 16.2 (Sunday!)
and last October, 62 miles, 14.2...fixed!
Oh, and over that time, there's 50-60 pounds less of me.

My longest ride was 3004 miles in 6 days, 14hrs with average speed of 19mph. That was on a team so not sure it counts. My longest solo ride was 785 miles in 70hrs at 11mph avg. That was just a fun ride not a race. My fastest long ride was 118 miles in 4hrs45min with an average speed of 24.8 mph. I've been riding seriously since 1995ish.

I've been riding three months and my longest ride so far is 40 miles @ 14.3 MPH.
Definitely still a Clyde at 330lbs. I've dropped 40-50lbs since I started riding, but that was due to diet, not riding.

Ready for this?
3 weeks. Longest ride 14 miles. If I recall, 11 mph average.
2nd longest ride, my daily ride of 12 miles. Average is always reading 11 or 12, but I don't ever see 12 mph. I run 13-14 up then 14-maybe15 back but there's a half mile tunnel that is 63° inside and pitch black that puts my average down. I lollygag in there for quite awhile probably doing 5 mph while I enjoy the temperature and all the water falling from the ceiling, LOL.
3rd longest is 5.1 miles and 4th longest is 3.5 miles. There's my entire history.

Started riding July 2012 @ 265 lbs, lucky to break 13 mph on my big box mtb.
Rode my first century 1/29/13 100.5 miles @ 16.4mph, ~230 lbs, 1100ft elevation. Although, I took around 75 minutes total breaks. Rode a second century a few weeks later lower average, but fewer breaks.
Scaled back on riding a little and have ballooned back up to 245. Must work on diet, I can't outride my current one.

Just a curious "big bone" question? What is your wrist circumference measurement? I fight the "big bone" and BMI too.
Body frame size is determined by a person's wrist circumference in relation to his height. For example, a man whose height is over 5' 5" and wrist is 6" would fall into the small-boned category.
Determining frame size: To determine the body frame size, measure the wrist with a tape measure and use the following chart to determine whether the person is small, medium, or large boned.

I had to measure it, I had no idea what it was. It's almost exactly 8 inches (20.3cm). What does that mean?

Longest ride: 52 miles... AVS: 12.5mph
Fastest ride: 15 miles.. AVS: 16mph
Trying to improve these stats, but I will probably always be slow. The kicker is no matter what distance I ride I almost always see 14-17 MPH on the speedometer with an exception being on hills where I've known to drop to 8-10mph.
