Time to get serious again, been bull ****ting all summer. In fact all year, I haven't posted anything. Needed new motivation so I bought a 2013 Kona Rove (maybe I'll figure out how to post a picture its a good looking ride), Tossed on some custom wheels to handle a giant like myself (6'5" -380 pounds). I was strictly Mountain biking last year, and I decided I was tired of falling.

Any who, as for my Goals this month:

Starting Weight: 380 (Down from my high of 460 in October!!, Last time I checked into the forums was March 2012. Reread the post and i was 435, obviously I didn't stick to my workouts)
Goal: 365
Mileage: 350 Miles (Aiming high since I've already knocked out 80 miles in the last three days. I've figured out this great route where I get about 19 miles and it takes me about 1 1/2 hours, great way to tucker myself out at the end of the day)

I just need accountability, and if I write it hear it makes me feel better... Lol thanks for the thread and your time,

Nathan

I rode my first time to 25 miles on Monday. Was even home before all the lazy females in my house were out of bed, LOL. Rode an exhausting 8 miles yesterday after that first time 25 miler, I should have taken a break, it's too much for this 1 month old rider. Tonight working late so no ride, back on the trail tomorrow.

That's 33 down, 167 to go for the month.

Can't weigh myself during the week as I go by morning weight and Wifey won't let me put the scale anywhere but the bedroom (no room anywhere else in our thimble sized house) and it's too dark at 5 am to see it. So, weigh-in for me is weekend mornings.

Contemplate a recovery ride after a long effort like your 25 miles.

A recovery ride is usually done at an absurdly low pace, basically you're just riding hard enough to keep your legs moving

So for ride mileage, does time on a stationary bike count?

Waited all morning for a plumber who showed at 2:30. Lost the morning ride opportunity, and it was too hot to go for a road ride so I hit the gym.

Last week's first post was 226(.8 I think) pounds. This morning, 224.6. I gave a goal for this thread 215 which is more than 2 lb. per week, but my goal when starting to eat better, lose weight, and ride the bike was to lose 2 lb. per week, so first week of September I'll say I did pretty good.

Oh, miles... Said 200 miles. Monday was 25, Tue-8, Thur-12 so I'm at 45 miles. 155 to go which my wife has yet another Saturday off (funny how she worked several years complaining about everyone else rotating weekends off but she got screwed by the manager who worked her every weekend because he hates part time people and now her friend took over for store manager and she's had about 3 weekends to 1 of having off the last 2 months) so I plan on extending further than my normal 12 miles, maybe a 2nd 25 miles or maybe longer than that, who knows.

Just sitting here now debating on a morning ride. 46° out there, not sure if I'm ready for that or if I should wait a little bit for the sun to warm up the air.

I'm a little behind on posting a goal, but figured I should start. On the 1st I was at 286, goal is 275. Today I am at 281.

Not posting a milage goal for the month because I'm recovering from knee surgery 2 weeks ago. I'll do what I do.

I would make it count. Why not? Its time spent on a bike.

I've been under the weather both in cliche form that I've been sick the past few days and in true weather in that we've had some massive thunderstorms roll through this week just about every late afternoon after work. I wanted to take Tuesday off from riding and haven't been back on since Monday. I hope to ride tonight but there's yet more heavy thunderstorms in the forecast. At least it is suppose to be nice this weekend and my wife is off yet another Saturday which isn't good for the bankbook, but is good for the fact that we see each other and I can leave for a few hours and get another good ride in.

9-1 = 253
9-8 = 250 (-3)
9-16= 248.5 (-4.5)

138 km for the month.

This is the first time in a little over 6 years that I have been under 250 lbs. it feels pretty good and people are even starting to ask me if I'm losing weight.

I'm at 122 miles so far for the month.

Saturday I stepped on the scale, 221.2. Started out at 226 with a goal of 215. Unfortunately, the 221 raised a bit as Sunday and this morning I was in the 222 range.

I'll say 7 lb. and 78 miles to go. I'll let you all know how the blood pressure, cholesterol, and triglyceride check goes tomorrow morning as well.

Okay.... let's do this

Starting weight = 225 lb.
Goal weight = Lower than 225 (Ultimately I hope to settle in at about 190.)
Distance goal = 500 miles

So far I've lost 6 lb. during the month, down to 219
Distance goal is high, but I'm at 310 miles already and it's only halfway through the month. But the goal is iffy.
