Can't believe that this late in the afternoon on a beautiful fall, weekend day the September Edition isn't already posted! Well, darn it, I want to get to counting!

17.5 miles
2 miles rained out about 18 short of my goal.
10 miles. Nice to be back on the bike. Of course, it was nice to be in Disney too....
6 miles. It look like I have a loonnnggg ride tomorrow. Too much hiking.
35.5 total

After a horrible August mileage wise (did great with weight loss however) due to starting a new job and some hip pain, I'm rip-roarin' and ready to go. My goal is (at least) 200 miles.

I'm going to set a goal of 150 miles. I did 110 miles during the last 2 weeks of August making my goal of 100 for August. But I'm still recovering from an upper arm fracture and have to say I think I cam back a little early. After 2-3 days of riding, lots of discomfort - So I'm going to pace myself, I think. Depending on the weather - which can be lousy this time of year here in Buffalo - I'll reassess mid month and maybe go for 200.

Attended a pre-season CX clinic. Lots of skills dusted off. Have some work to do before next weekends race. Hit the deck once (stalled going up a berm) and dropped a chain twice (need to learn to set the bike down and not drop it).

Turned the camera on for the first lap of the practice race at the end of the clinic. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0PRNnOr_U1k I wasn't last, but not far from it.

MTD: 5.8 miles and 151 ft of climbing
YTD: 9,056 miles

I'm going for 300 miles this month. My goal was 200 last month, but I rode 400.

I've been really sick for the last 3 days and I'm not counting on riding tomorrow, either. The weather has been perfect and I'm really kinda bummed that I'm missing out on some of the best riding days I've seen lately.

Anyway, good luck to all the participants!

My goal is 300 do-or-die this month, after two failed attempts for July and August, this may be my last chance for 2013 (although I predict I will still be riding until early November). To ensure I don't get worn out this month like I did last month, I'm planning on doing 10 mile rides every other day with a 50+ mile ride thrown in on the weekends. Since I'm a strict fair weather rider, I won't ride on any scheduled days that call for 60% or greater rain or over 98% humidity.

9/1: 10.6 Miles. (+1 mile earlier in the day, when I turned around due to the high humidity).

MTD: 10.6 Miles (Goal: 300 Miles)
YTD: 924.3 Miles (Goal: 1,000 Miles)

Well I started September with a ride with the three grandsons. Youngest one at age 6 just got the hang of balancing but seemed to forget how to stop. Managed to square that away today. Not a lot of miles, just smiles. And due to the high humidity we gravitated to a water gun battle rather early. At any rate I expect to continue my string of 500 mile months. My mo jo has improved with the cooler temps. And with any luck I'll have a working mountain bike soon.

Goal: 250. I did 179 last month and didn't actually start until the second week of August. With a new Allez to ride I don't see 250 being an issue at all.

September so far:
11.51 Miles
14.08 MPH
41:56 Time

I'm in. I will shoot for 100 miles and see how I do.

9-1 8.4 miles. I need to explore more to find level riding nearby. I could have kept going but the hills slow me way down.

August was my personal best. 302.8 miles for the month with the longest ride being 16.2 miles. My daily goal had increased to twelve miles a day and I usually exceed it (six days a week....Sundays are too busy to ride).

September will fall short of August since I will be traveling for most half the month, and one week into October. I will be lucky if I get 150 miles in September but I am going to try for it. Once I get going good in October, if it is a little cooler and I feel up to it, I plan on doing over 20 miles on a ride as a new goal for a single ride. If I can do 16 I can do 20, I just need a longer trail so I don't get bored.

I am going to make an attempt for 100 this month. I'm heading back home for the month, but I have a bike there that I can ride to keep up my goal. Last month I started riding and only managed to hit 50 miles. But I just started, so my legs were really swollen half the time, lol. And now it's been raining non-stop all weekend (typhoons!), so I can't even get a start this month!

Had thought to just go out on a quick blast but ended up going further than I have in a few weeks. Took in a loop of the local park, then another local park, then joined together bits and pieces of other routes I like, and finally took in a section I only rarely ride. I'd forgotten the hill on the bit I only rarely ride...

Shooting for a lower target this month as I'm in and out of home for most of the second half of it, so I'll see if I can nail 150 miles, maybe 200. Off to a good start today

Sep 02 - 48 miles

MTD 48/150
YTD 2558/3107

Ugh. Really strong headwinds today, made the first 2/3 of my usual route absolutely hellish, but rewarded me with tailwinds for the last 1/3 of each lap. Put in 36.9km before I'd had enough of ridding uphill into the wind every lap, but managed to get up to 52.3km/h on the last downhill today.

September 2 - 36.9km
MTD - 70km / 500km
TTD - 1,002 km since June 25, 2013

120 miles, 6.5 hours from Milwaukee to Sheboygan and back today. I loves me this road bike, and having a friend to take turns eating the headwind with!

I did 577 miles last month, a new personal record. Unfortunately, my schedule is a lot fuller in September, so I doubt I'll see that. I'm aiming for 6-9 hours a week in September, i.e. 80-120 miles, since I need to get a fair amount of climbing in before the Oct. 13 Great River Ride (the D2R2 100K last weekend helped a lot with the climbing part, though!). So I'll say 300 miles, in hopes it will be a little more.

Yesterday was a rest day, after 82 on Friday and a 22-mile recovery ride Saturday. Today I was finishing syllabi but did get in a 10-mile round trip to the office for a couple books I needed (the actual distance is 6 miles, but I figured I could afford an extra 15 minutes on the bike!).

Good luck to all!
