Weekly Update (10/27):
Weight: 263.0 lb. Down only .5 lb, 4 lb for the month and 3 lb to go
Rides:
10/20: 3.9mi (20:42)
10/21: 7.3mi (32:53)
10/24: 9.1mi (45:08)
10/25: 15.4mi (1:11:46)
10/27: 15.5mi (1:11:43)
Total: 51.2mi Month: 133.7mi Goal: 83.7 OVER
I'll keep it short. Totally blew my diet this week. Had an argument with a roll of cookie dough, and lost. Also, our menu plan just didn't work out. Pretty much all stuff I could have tried harder and corrected. I wonder if I can drop the last 3lbs in 4 days... lol!
Edit: How in the world did I manage to get first post on all 3 pages?!?!?

I'm juice fasting dinner to make my goal. what do you make of these morning weights. if X is my October goal weight, then . . .
morning weight = X + 3.6
but this morning after a night of juice fasting . . .
morning weight = X + 0.6
is it just water weight or lack of salt intake, water retention? I typically eat about three cups of microwaved frozen veggies with about 2 tsp of "Canadian Steak Seasoning", which is loaded with sodium. for taste. and topped with generous handful of sliced raw almonds. that's the only way I can eat my veggies. then I snack on frozen mango chunks.
one more night of juice fasting and I think I made it.

Just got back from a 7.75 km ride.
It's getting so cold here, I couldn't feel my fingers after 5 km. So I guess that's it for this year...I'll have to get warmer gear next spring.
209.5 for october, I was shooting for 150 km
I'll step on the scale tomorrow morning

Here it is, end of Oct. I usually do not check into these Biggest Loser threads because I am the king of plateaus. I've been hovering around 210 for three months now after a negative growth spurt of 10 lb in July. I weighed in at 206 this morning. Think I'll shoot for 200 by Dec 1.

no, not the very end of October yet . . . I have one more day . . . so close I can . . . taste it.
it occurred to me on my bike commute this am that I felt much much lighter since I started eating sensibly, consciously, whatever you want to call it . . . and that in itself is the reward, and to fully experience the reward. the feeling of lightness, of lack of effort, lack of pain with every movement, lack of feeling bloated, walking pain free, jogging pain free, moving, moving, moving, pain free. all that is a reward. this month it's only been nearly 5 lbs, but really a whole 25 lbs since my max in June, July of last summer. lifting a 25 lb sack of corn or 25 lb weight is "not nothing", that's a significant chunk of weight. off my back. hooray for me. (not bragging, just trying to encourage myself, since I am the king of yo-yo, relapse diets, historically, the fall is when I can lose weight, then Christmas through march it comes back on with a fury, that will be the tough time, for now I rejoice, or should I say "rejuice").

Weighed this morning at 207.2. Started the month at about 209, had a high of 211, and a low of 206.8.
483 miles for October including rides of 80 mi, 67 mi and 50 mi.
Will be doing first Century next Saturday.
Onward and downward, and in it for real next month.

start weight: 196.2
goal weight: 190.0
end weight: 191.4
comment: this thread has been a great motivation to lose weight for the month; I convinced myself "the world is watching" . . . so I have to produce. I never went above the start weight and on a couple mornings toward the end of the month, after a juice fast or race day, I saw below 190, but the 191.4 is a "real" weight in that I ate normally the night before and was well-hydrated. I feel that is a good representation of where I am. I feel motivated to head toward 185 for Nov; looking forward to "Biggest Loser: November Edition" . . . !

Month end/November start:
Weight: 267 (10-1), 260 (11-1) hit my goal dead on (somehow)
Bike: 50 mi goal, 133.7 (10/27) goal + 83.7!
Walk: 30 mi goal, 14.5 (10/31) goal - 15.5
I think the only reason I hit my weight goal was because I was sick yesterday, lol. My walking goal got messed up because of an ankle injury. However, I am able to run again as of 3 days ago. I changed my run to :30/1:00 run/walk intervals and went 3.5 miles this morning. I'm pretty stoked about my results for Oct.

I made both my goals this month. I was 180 this morning which is right on target with a 9 lb loss. I rode 333 miles which is my best month so far. I also made my first 50 mile run. My goal was 250. I know I am not a clyde any longer but I am probably still more overweight than some of you since I am only 5'8.
I am pleased with my progress. My long term goal was to be 180 by Jan 1 and I have done it two months early. New goal 170 by Jan 1. I also had blood work done this month and my Dr. was very pleased with the results. My triglycerides were 127 and the LDL HDL ratio was 2.70. Total cholesterol was 188, down from 210.

hoping WebFoot starts the November edition soon . . . want to get on record and start the month on a downward trend, back into time . . . to weights heretofor unimagined, I'd be going back to my twenties if I keep going. Weight loss is like a journey back in time . . . except for the wrinkles, saggy skin, and hair loss. ! minor details.
