Ancient Clydesdale
I got in a 16 mile ride today. My non-aero rims were getting kicked around by a ferocious wind that made it hard to go 10mph at times. Brutal.

Well as expected, having hit my annual goal in the first couple days of the month, I shut down. Wrapped up the month with 6 year old grandson this morning with a 4.87 mile ride. Total for month at 169 miles, well short of the 250 goal.

BUT I set the goal high - it was calculated on doing 50 miles every Sunday and at least 16 twice during the week, and allowed for no 'slippage'. Sometimes, you gotta stay home and take care of a wife with stomach flu, rather than ride....

Was able to do 146.4 miles for the month, but fell well short of my goal of 250 miles. With the time change and lack of light, and the colder weather and lack of cold riding gear, I'm pretty much destined to be on the trainer in the basement until the spring.
Highlight of the month was riding over to the cyclecross race that was across town and then climbing up the 8% hill back home for the first time. Good times.
