Start weight 11-1 = 239
11-9 = 237.5 (-1.5)
11-15 = 237.5
First week since July that I haven't lost any weight. Need to re-evaluate my diet and pick the activity back up. I haven't been riding, but thought I was doing pretty good on the treadmill. May need to change things up a little.

Well... I am conceding to "Incompletion of Goals" for the month of November... I've walked, ran, ridden and lost weight (and will continue)... therefore it is NOT a failure, but an inability to meet goals set due to time and weather.
I've put in:
70.6 miles in the saddle
22.1 miles on foot
1.5 lbs lost (so far... but it IS turkey week)
I'm seriously thinking about either trying to find a gym or purchase an exercise bike (knobby tires on a trainer would be... interesting...) and brave the cold to run...

As of the 22nd , I was down 7 pounds for the month , then I developed a problem that stopped my riding for a week . Then came yesterday , Thanksgiving . But today I'm was back to riding my single speed cruiser around the neighborhood , and tomorrow I'll be back to eating right . I'm afraid to get on the scales . I'm not going to hit my goal , but I made a dent in it . Ready to take this into December if the weather will cooperate . Kirby

I had a rough month, my wife went to the Dr. for a routine visit and came home with something that kept her in bed for 4 days. I thought I had avoided it but a week later I got it too. I wasn't as sick as she was but still suffered with it for a couple of weeks. Then the cold weather set in. I rode some anyway and the last few days have been nice. I still managed to make my goals. I am down 5 pounds and managed to ride 311 miles. Are we going to do December? I hope so

-38 pounds since July 1 of this year.
Two pounds short of my goal. Not too bad with Thanksgiving and the fact that I'm a weather wuss and not riding much.

O.K. I started this but didn't fare well. I usually don't this time of year. Bottom line? +1.
Onward and downward.

start weight: 187.2
goal weight: 180.0
end weight: 187.6
pre-Thanksgiving nadir: 183.6
comment: I reached a nadir of 183.6 two days before Thanksgiving, but predictably, the T-giving food just overwhelmed all my senses and higher brain functions. my wife's stuffing and gravy, moist succulent turkey, sweet potatos in their skins with no marshmallow crap or added sugar, buttered mashed potatoes without even a lump, smooth beautiful soft white and fluffy. And then the pies, oh my . . . homemade organic pumpkin, apple, french silk, and five buckets of ice cream of every conceivable variety. gawd, I just love food. I love it more than life itself. my feeble strategy was to pre-eat 3 cups of veggies before heading over to the meal, which I did. it didn't help. somehow I made room for all that extra food. I actually felt sick afterwards, I ate so much.
in retrospect, 180.0 was far too ambitious, should have shot for a 185 even. that will be my goal for Dec. Just basically maintaining through the holiday onslaught of food. I should just put down my current weight. but that is no motivation. it would be a miracle if I maintain.

Didn't hit my goal.
Goal: 204
Actual: 207
Sick for a few days along with Thanksgiving, hosted a party, and attended a wedding. Food intake was okay, drinking the local beer is what did me in.
