I rode to work yesterday. 27 miles. Funny thing was I was suppose to be off.

When you get back to fixing it, keep track of what side of the tube faces the chain side (like mark the valve stem with a marking pen). Find the hole in the tube and check the corresponding area in the tire and see if there is any sharp object lodged in the tire.
The other thing to check in the rim strip. Make sure that it's there , and covering all the edges that might cause a flat. If it's too narrow, get one that's the right size.
When you put the tube back in the tire, make sure that it is inflated just enough to give it some shape, so as not to fold over inside the tire or get caught between the tire and rim.
Something is causing the repetitive flats, you just need to figure out what it is.
I hope you find out what the problem is; flats are not much fun.

12/3 - 2 mile Run
12/4 17 mile commute to work
As far as repeat flats go: Make sure you don't have something stuck in the tire. When you put the tire back on, align the label with the valve stem, and when you pull the tube out after a flat, see where it has a hole, and you can track it back to the area of the tire where the flat was. This can help when you have a small bit of wire or something in the tire itself, which will keep popping tubes.

About the flat: Instead of patching it again (do people do that?) I put in a new tube after going over the tire and rim very carefully. I couldn't find the culprit, nothing seemed amiss. I've only fixed two flats before on my old bike so I can only say that the rim tape looked ok to me. The new tube held up to a quick one mile around the neighborhood at midnight last night. Didn't want to test things commuting today so if it's still holding air when I get home I'll try to put in some miles.
Bah! Only the 4th and already behind. Better get riding to catch up.

Maybe you already know this...
Oh, btw, I patch a tube multiple times, but about 3 patches is the limit.

I do, but I'd rather have something explained again than people assume I know it already.
Annnnnnd the new tube is just fine, but it started raining 15mins into my test ride.
3.8 miles, haha. 178.3 to go, I'm setting myself up for a big week at some point.

Okay, if I can get a shade over 430 miles in December that will give me 4,000 for the year - a big increase over last year's 1,695. Though last month was a bit of a wash out with 232 miles, I've got no work travel this month and about 6 or 7 days off. 421 is the goal!
12/1: 34.20 miles
12/3: 21.25 miles
12/4: 21.44 miles
76.89 miles MTD
3,647.43 miles YTD

You gonna eat that?
12/1 - 27*
12/4 - 28*
Total: 55 miles
* fixed gear rides
Warm Before the Storm- It was 80 degrees here today; by tomorrow night we will be in the midst of a winter storm (or so they promise). We got out and rode in case we can't ride for a while.
The sky has that look that it gets late in the fall, when change is imminent.

My goal for December is 300 miles. If I get to 250 I will be over 7,000 for the year. The real challenge will be whether I need to break out my studded tire bike to reach the goal. We are suppose to get significant snow on Monday. I should have almost 130 miles by then, so I should be able to reach the goal since I commute daily regardless of the weather.

Never have done anything like this, but now is a good time to start. Gonna set a goal of 150 Miles. Question: If I ride the bike at the gym can I count that as miles also...plan is to do outside, but sometimes weather dictates other.
