5/1 26.19 miles, 2487 feet
5/2 20.15 miles, 597 feet

MTD 46.34/450

Speed increases are coming in chunks now. These hill repeats are something else. An hour and a half doing them each week is like magic.

two miles on 29 year old Centurion Le Mans (made in 1985) that was all nicely tuned and had a rear derailer replaced. Rolling resistance was great and I was getting some speed.

Note to self: 1) put on cycling shoes and shorts next time 2) drink more water

While I am winded I am smiling from ear to ear.

Adds up to about 600 miles. I'm betting I'll get a few more rides in somewhere, so let's say 700. The problem is, I'm lousy at recording my rides.
3 miles yesterday, regular commute
9 miles today, regular commute plus downtown and back
688 to go

.

I'll set my goal for 325 miles this month. That's just a little more than last month, but I managed to put in about one hundred non-commuting miles last month, and I'll have to work at it to do that again...

5/01 zero miles. Shamefully! The weather was perfect, but it was my day off and I spent most of it sleeping.
5/02 9.5 miles on my usual ride in to work

I hope your surgery went well & you have a speedy recovery!

Getting closer to my 25 mile goal - rode 20.6 this morning. Took a new route, had to partially walk a couple of hills but it was great!

Thanks, it did go well. I now have a plate and 10 pins/screws in my left collarbone. Felt better when my whole left side was numb for 16hrs.....now not so much. No pain no gain

A great weekend camping! Only 10.24 miles with about 3.5 on trails, the wife and I rode, hiked, fished and enjoyed cooking on a fire.

An awesome Saturday! [/sarcasm]

Wife at work all day. Kids not home all day. Beautiful out, not a cloud in sight.... for 20 minutes. Then it's torrential downpour, heavy winds, and even hail for 20 minutes. Then beautiful again for 20 minutes. Rinse and repeat all day long on Saturday

The water in my pool was sloshing around so bad that it looked like the ocean in an out-at-sea storm.

Then Sunday it was all day mowing the field that I use to call my yard.

MTD - 0

Not a great ride today. Fun when the roads opened up a bit but horrendous traffic and horrible headwinds. The traffic eased up after a while, the headwinds didn't...

05 May - 27 miles

MTD - 27 miles.
