First 12 mile ride

Just finished my first 12 mile ride. Took 2 water breaks. Wasn't too bad at all. Encountered some elevation but pushed thru. I think I'm ready to do some hill rides. It was much easier to ride up the hill today at 307 compared to that same hill at 330!! Feeling pretty good!!!

Congrats, I just finished my maiden voyage 30min ago. I put in 11mi. The only discomfort was my arse(of course) and my hands going numb, I forgot my gloves.

Congrats! I recall early on what a big achievement my first 11 mile ride was. What a great feeling!

Congrats on both the ride and the weight loss. It is gratifying to reach milestones such as the one you just reached. What is your next goal?

Other than breaking the 300 lb mark, I haven't set one in particular Black Wallnut. Just keep riding, more weight loss and continue to get healthier!! But I'm noting possible goals and will start implementing them real soon!!!

I made it to 300 on Aug 1st, but then quickly jumped back up to 303.8 but now back down to 297.8... Hoping to never see 300 again.

That's Great! I got down to 308 2 weeks ago then up to 310 at the beginning of last week. But 305 now. I'm gonna ride my butt off and eat right to hopefully get to 299 by the end of the month.

Try to vary your route to make it visually and cyclingly interesting and add an extra mile or two per ride. Today I discovered a hidden trail segment that's 4 miles long, curvy, wooden bridges, creeks, etc. I have been driving over it (it's under a bunch of interchanges) for years and never knew it was there. Can't wait to go back tomorrow!!

Congrats and keep the pedals cranking!
