Fuji Team 2007 for a Clydesdale

I'm looking for a bike for my brother who is around 215, 5'8" and came across a used Fuji Team (not pro, rc, issue etc) for $700 (my brother will only spend $500). I've read some reviews saying if the carbon frame isn't well made, it will crack under the weight especially if you bunnyhop.

My brother is purely getting a bike to ride when I do and is not that interested in cycling so he isn't looking for a big investment. Would the Fuji Team be an ok bike for him or should I look for an aluminum frame that may be less fragile?
