Slept in too long to make it to the club ride so took my daughter on a 10k (6.3mile) trail run before it got too hot. Was already 80* by the time we made it to the trail head. Suffered a dozen goat head thorn flat right before the turn around spot. It was a bit slower pace coming back pushing the stroller through the sand w/ a limp tire. I left the spare tube in the other car I'm going to have to get some slime liners for this thing. Kiddo had fun, all her toys in in tow + water and snacks kept her happy. Only one toy over board incident Took her to the playground afterwards so she can run off some energy too.

Distance 6.3mi

Elevation Gain 104ft

Elapsed Time 1:12:29

Comments: Ran 4miled at lunch. Been a month of doing slow jog/shuffle runs to ease back into it, get my body used to the abuse again. Today I focused more on air time, and stride effort to stay landing on my midsole. Seems to work, Pace drop down to 8:56/m whoohoo after being double digits for a month. Starting over sucks, but gotta start somewhere

Another part of foot clan, 5.6miles @ 9:20 pace. I did walk the short steep uphills today to save some sort of legs. Which is good because I always seem to fade between 4-5 miles

Looking back through the pages and the photos. I'd say it's been a great year!! Lots of good memories vs the struggles I had last yr, but yet still gives me motivation. I feel blessed I can still enjoy what I love.

Less then 3 months left in the year...crazy....and my baby boy is already 4months old!! I'm still aiming for the 12hr MTB race next month on Nov 7th. I hope to survive longer than I did in January. I hope to be a bit smart after all that BWR training I did.
