Looking for a bike seat bag
Hey all,
So I live in a relatively small city, so selection (while ok) isn't stellar. I'm looking for a bike seat bag large enough to contain a spare tire, two tire levers, and a cell phone. I can easily bring these items to my LBS, but again, not stellar selection. Oddly, the cell phone is the largest of these three. Anybody have any suggestions as to their preference? Thanks! Trevor |
Banjo brothers makes some nice ones that are waterproof: Seat Bags | Banjo Brothers. Pretty reasonable prices too. I'm using this one (Waterproof Saddle Trunk | Banjo Brothers), which can expand to be enormous but also squashes down to a pretty compact size. I like the expandability because in winter it will be nice to be able to stuff an extra layer in there. I just got it recently, so I haven't used it in winter yet, but I did try it out stuffing all my flat fix stuff, some snacks, a fleece jacket, and my cell phone.

That Banjo Bro. is about 400 cu, pretty nice, kinda big. Good for minimal extra cover for chilly night rides. I carry a full flat kit in about 165 cu: folding tire rolled up, 2 levers, 2 CO2, small patch kit, multi tool, couple hex wrenches, ID, cash. Barely get my cell phone in it.

Too bad you mentioned the cell phone, otherwise I would have recommended the Jandd Mini Tool. However, Jandd does make larger ones and they are great, well made bags!
Edit: Take a look at the Jandd Mountain Wedge 2 |
