Bikes: More bicycles than I can ride at one time: 2 custom made tourers, a Brompton 6-speed, and an Indian-made roadster.

This caught my eye while perusing Canadian news. I wonder why the cyclist slapped the pedestrian in the first place. Apparently all caught on a video camera... Fortunately the bicyclist survived.... The story is not over as police ate still investigating and are searching for the driver. Interesting that the bicyclist is not talking - maybe waiting for legal advice. I'll be in T.O. late this coming week and may hear more at several LBSs then

Weird. I see no reason for the cyclist to have done that.

Video quality is poor so it's hard to tell what exactly happened. Perhaps the cyclist felt the driver was blocking his lane so he gave him a slap. He may have miscalculated the effect of his slap when he was going 30kph. Maybe we'll find out if there's a trial. Before then I suspect we'll just get more speculation and not many answers.

Has nothing to do with Canada except the location of the crime.

In other news: Random Country bicyclists and car drivers can be VERY stupid!

Or it could be:Bicyclists and car drivers can be VERY stupid!

Or better yet: Some people can be VERY stupid!

The pedestrian/driver is obviously not Canadian. A true Canadian in that situation would have said, "oh, excuse me, eh?" to the cyclist.

That term is an oxymoron.

Fortunately this happened in Canada. In the U.S. the guy would've pulled a gun a kill at least 5 or 6 pedestrians...
