Salsa Fargo 2 for Commuting and Trail Riding

I am looking into buying a 2013 Salsa Fargo 2 to use as my main commuter and use to do some trails. Essentially I want it to be my N=1.

I found one used with about 2k miles on it. Asking price is $1,100 with the following:

Factory frame
Factory fork, uncut steerer
Cane Creek 40 headset
Salsa post clamp
Avid BB7 brakes
SRAM X0 front derailleur
SRAM X7 rear derailleur
SRAM X7 42-28 double crankset and GXP bottom bracket
SRAM PG 1050 11-36 cassette, I think there is a PG 1050 chain on it right now
SRAM Avid Double Tap brifters
Salsa Woodchipper bars with SRAM tape
Spacers
Specialized 29x1.95 S-Works Renegade Tires (tubeless ready but set up with tubes)
32H SRAM hubs laced to DT Swiss X470 rims

Is the price fair and will it serve the purpose well?

I currently ride a vintage 520 but want something for trails too.

I can't judge the price but I will say you picked the right kind of bike and the right handlebar. You will certainly be able to ride the trails. I have a bike with the SRAM 2x10 setup and it works very well.

I have the brake levers slid down so far that the hoods are unridable. I only ride in the drops. I found that it is the best way to use these bars. Trying to hang on to the hoods over rough ground is just way too dicey.
