that's the way I roll too.
I'm also trying to find or create a jersey with largely identified reflective striping (2" wide stripes or so) all the way down the arms, etc.
so when I stick my arm out, people see it.

Check out these safety vests. they aren't very expensive, but highly visible.

My Class 3 safety shirt has reflective tape on the sleeves and work just fine for turn signaling.
