Been seriously considering building some sort of aeroshell for the 7100 because it seems like I only get headwinds (or at least quartering ones) on the way in, and if it doesn't turn around to be a headwind on the way home, it drops to dead calm. Hard to bend forward enough to really matter with just bullhorn extensions, and I'm not sure I could put drops on it without figuring out some new shifters.

Or maybe find a cheap bent and turn it into an all out velomobile.

Continuing to own a car takes the pressure off and allows my cycling to remain optional, making commuting more fun for me. If you want to put on a hairshirt and scourge yourself over these things, there are better forums for that.

Ask @wphamilton about fairings. See how you fair?

Not sure about the practicality of some of the larger or more elaborate fairings for commuting, especially with the debris and potholes along my route; I need to be able to see the ground pretty close to the front wheel. Thinking about grabbing some Coroplast and experimenting a bit.
