I'm glad you liked it. Added black fenders and white/black Podium water bottle to the mockup. I couldn't find picture of silver fenders taken from the right angle so went with black ones. For some reason, i'm unable to post the image itself, but here's the link http://imgur.com/a/MQkHQ

Get yourself a good fanny pack.., and if you don't mind me saying, in the interests of decor, please ditch that saddle and get something sharp looking, like a white Reydel GTI. Your bike deserves it.

I'm amazed at image skills like this.

The mock up looks very polished, but so serious. I like the original handlebar tape. What did @Giant Doofus call it--"a bit of whimsy?" The user needs to love this part of the bike especially because it's the biggest part of the bike he'll be looking at while riding. This is from a female's point of view.

Wait, whose bike is this if not Giant Doofus's? Is it a simulation?

Wow! Thank you so much for doing this. It makes a big difference to be able to see what the final thing might look like. You've inspired me!

Jeez...I might have to have you guys work on my commuter lol.
Though...I hate to wonder what the community opinion on flashing battery powered Christmas lights will be. |

Yes, a bit of whimsy. And, by the way, I'm a woman (the OP).

My photoshop skills are limited, but I'm great at copying. Like the black fenders, but I'd go with a black rack. Silver works almost as well.

It's a beautiful bike!
But she ls like a beauty queen in work clothes... as opposed to all dolled up for the bathing suit completion. But the bike looks like what is it.. and it's clean as a pin. What more could anyone want from a bike. |
I think the saddle is one of those rare factory defects. They stamped "Brooks" backwards and went with black and silver rails.
And that bricklayer did a lousy job, IMHO. |

Very nice!
- The saddle and bar tape will need to wait a bit. - I'm not switching to SPDs under any circumstances, but my current pedals are polished alloy (MKS Sylvans) and will look better once I've got the new black power grips on them. But, yeah, the rest of it looks awesome. I wonder what it would look like with fenders? I'm thinking about the silver SKS longboards. One of the nice visual improvements to your bike will come about when you change your rear rack. Your current rack has those twisty arms that connect the rack to the seat stays and they are so fugly. The racks you have indicated you are considering in this thread both have solid tubular connectors and look so much better. |

From an aesthetics standpoint, for sure. Especially perhaps a hot pink hello kitty one? From a sweaty back perspective, not a chance. Sweaty back gets veto power over all.
I have a fairly short commute (. 4 miles) so it doesn't cause me a problem. I also usually don't carry that much. No sweaty backs here... |
Maybe we could find her some Celeste luggage. Surely in the history of Italian bikes it must have happened at least once

No way. I'm sure backpacks work just fine for some people, but not me. Nope. Not gonna do it.

the Tubus with panniers look great.
If you're interested in a Nitto small front rack, I worked out how to attach a Mark's rack to a CX bike with unicrown fork and no holes for anything. I used Tubus LM1 clamps on the unicrown (Paul) canti rack bolts (you could use Nitto), and L-brackets from McMaster. Of course if you have a front brake bolt hole in your fork, you can use a Nitto M12 and canti bolts. http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v7.../aPA210009.jpg |
Could you post some after pictures so we can see what you did?

I really like the photoshop mockup!
Anyways, beauty is a subjective thing. I'd be more attracted to a pretty lady in work clothes, than in a bikini. It speaks to me of self confidence, of not needing to try so hard, a certain timelessness. Anyways, I'd love to see the final bits! |

I'm so excited! All of my stuff for "project de-uglify" has arrived. I'll try to get everything installed at the co-op on Sunday and post some pictures. Here's what I've got:
1. Racktime Addit rack in silver 2. Daija handlebar accessory mount 3. Black power grips (which may go on MKS Lambda pedals I had in the spare parts box) 4. SKS longboard fenders in silver 5. 2 Wheel Gear backpack pannier in black 6. Banjo Brothers trunk bag |
