We have one for our subdivision. Last year it was refreshing until early July, then it was bath water warm and we stopped going. One of the "things" to do here is tubing down the Saluda River, which gets its flow from the bottom of Lake Murray. At least that water is cold!

This past week has been crazy warm around here. I swapped out the studded tires for touring ones. Not quite slicks yet, but soon. Ditched the thick fleece and mittens. Sooooo nice, and quiet.

I'm calling it a winter, right here and now.
Jinx! Record number of days with continuos record breaking warmth and now this weekend we have snow coming again. I blame you.

Maine is one of the few east coast locales that has had good snow cover--but melting fast! Downhill skiing yesterday in t-shirt and near 50 again today. Roads totally suck for riding though, no room, trashed asphalt/holes, large melting snow banks/black ice, sand and salt everywhere. Yep feels like spring!

Yeah, but it ain't sticking around. That's like the old man turning around and giving you the finger, but he's still leaving.

No kidding. I rode the the GFs yesterday in shorts and short sleeves, and was sweating by the time I got there. That doesn't happen very often in Chicago, and makes me nervous when I remembered reading about the 60 degree weather a couple of days before the big snow Chicago had in 1967. I'm wondering what kind of summer we're going to have - I'd take a cold snowless winter over high heat and humidity anyday.

I took about 6 weeks off and am wondering how much longer I can continue before bad weather returns. It's looking like about 8 months now.

This morning a local radio station had somebody from the LaCrosse weather service one. What he basically said was "This storm is going to dump a lot of snow. We just haven't figured out where."

Anndddd the winner is.....you! :-) The closest flakes to the Twin Cities seems to be 12 miles outside the SE 494/696 loop. We have green grass in the yard. I may go out this weekend and see if there are dandelions to dig, just so I can say I did that in February.
