My First Tubular Commute

1 Attachment(s)
So far So good on my morning 18.5 mile commute. 25mm Sprinter Gatorskins left over from some Gravelly rides. They have Stans inside already. If I am lucky, I can wear out the tread before I flat.

Continental doesn't make tubeless tires. The Sprinter Gatorskin is however a tubular.

Yeah, pretty sure he meant what he wrote.

Ya. Sorry about that. Sprinter Gatorskins Tubular 25s. When I put these on for Eroica CA, I did not spare the glue. So these might be a bear to change if I do flat. I'm commuting on the tubulars because the clincher wheels that I often have on this bike are awaiting a rear rim replacement, and the season is now light and dry with no need for the dyno and fenders on my other bike.

OK then I stand corrected. I read too fast, saw just 'gatorskin' and assumed a very common clincher had been run tubeless (as evidenced by Stan's).

I have a tubular wheelset for one bike 'cause it came with them. Generally pretty great. I would like to try it with bigger tires, but once I got that bike and those tires, my savings went toward a pair of clincher rims for it (which I have been riding tubeless). Logistics-wise, though, it might make more sense for me and how I do things to go back to tubes.
