Let’s talk stickers

Perfect to hide a scratch, or make a statement perhaps :-)

Do you have a sticker attached to your bike?

If they're structurally important you don't want to take pictures in case the flash photodegrades them.

Not quite a sticker, I printed this out and taped it onto my stem with clear packing tape. Maybe that counts as an handmade artisinal sticker?

I also have a sticker on my top tube that says "HARD CORPS". I got it a couple years ago participating in the Devil Dog Duathlon at Camp Pendleton.

I have a bunch of stickers on my Priority and I want to sell it. I wonder if I should try to remove them.

stickers; in between the reflective skull/cog and Olympic Ass-Kicking Team sticker are the remains of a Spongebob sticker one of my kids got for behaving at the doctor's office about 10 years ago.

Over the years, I have covered my bike with decals representing all the places it has been. It looked very cool for a while, but now, many of the decals are getting old and crappy looking. i kind of wish I had a clean frame again, but removing all those memories would take away the "soul" of the bike.

That's one of the reasons you see pictures of them online.

Gone full out stickerbomb on this beast.

Pretty decent theft-deterrent and if it does get stolen, it'll be pretty easy to see if and where it ends up around town.

DarkShot:

My bike looks pretty much like yours. Got any ideas for protecting/preserving the decals when you put the bike on a work stand, etc.?

One of my favorite, most ridden bikes is absolutely stickerized. The rest, a few to none.

I won a bunch of 'bikehacks.com' stickers, one of which is on my bike, and last Wed. I added 'I bike Humboldt'. Partly because I like them, partly do discourage the tweakers.

Oh yeah; saw one last week at bike to work day; it said something like "it doesn't take a war to run my bike".

I took this shot to sell this bike. I didn't realize how blown out the photo is, I'll have to take some nicer ones

Not really, I usually just hang the bike by the saddle if it needs anything done in the stand. I've nearly ruined a few stickers because of it.

I have one that came with a set of fenders I bought. It is from this shop.

Sorry, it's white.

It says "dirty fingers bicycle repair."

I just always thought that was funny.

Dang, I rarely come across stickers other than the ones that come on produce. Although chakita banana stickers all over a green bike would be hilarious.

I can't post links but that bike is sweet.
