Flat bar hybrid shopping
 

My partner and I are shopping for new flat handlebar bikes, and have compared Jamis Coda steel frames with Trek FX 2 and 3s so far. We are interested in doing shorter, i.e. 5 to 20 mile after work of weekend rides, and to plan some vacation bike trips, probably through Vermont Bike Tours. VBT uses Fuji Absolute 3 (customized to their specs). Any feedback on this level and price point ($500-$700ish) bike would be much appreciated. Thanks, Joe

You would be happy with any of those three bikes. Pick the one that "speaks" to you. For me it's the Jamis Coda series. I like steel because I think it looks better.

Check out the Giant Escape models. I think you'll like them.
