We just had our Cycle to Work Day (UK) on WED 13 SEP and here are the stats ...

40.6K riders
1.13M miles (mean: 14mi each way)
238K kg CO2 saved
£510K saved (mean: £6.25 each way)
35M kcal burned (mean: 431kcal each way)
2372 retailers pledged
835 employers pledged

awesome! I really wish one day people here will give up their diesel fume and gas addiction and pick up the cycling as their main transportation method. wishful thinking.
