Like They Own The Whole Road

Post a photo of who's adopted your commute route!

Occupy Wall Street was a protest in NYC during the fall of 2011 that had influence in the 2012 elections. How they came to own a road in the Sacramento suburbs, and whether that chapter is still extant, I dunno. This sign always gives me a little smile, it means the climb is halfway done and I'm more than halfway home.

Canada Geese sometimes "occupy" my route home. Despite migratory waterfowl treaty protections, I do not stop for them. If they don't have the sense to get of my way, then...they can just migrate. Back to Canada...

there was a sign like that in a rural area near here, the org listed on the sign was "the neighborhood". Always sounded like a cult. But then the sign just disappeared.

We have a problem with non-migratory geese taking over parks, business lawns, and staying here all year. Squeaky brakes (OK, howling!) work well to disperse them, as does barking like a hungry dog.
