Thanks for the awesome info. I'd bet dollars to doughnuts they switched bottom brackets in 77, when they moved from Reynolds to Vitus tubing on the triangle.

I have a mid 80s Bianchi that I sometimes use for commute.But that's not the only bike I use for commuting. I keep switching between the Bianchi and CAADX

Just got back into the commute after a 5 month med-scare. This 1992 Bridgestone RB-T is called Strider.

That's a nice looking Miyata. Do you know what year/model it is? I picked up a '79 610 and it rides great. I'm trying to get more info on the '79 as I haven't found anything prior to about '82. These bikes are fast, nimble, comfortable and can take the abuse.

Most of the last two years, I used my 69 PX-10 with a Carradice Barley. Then I used my 79 Trek 710? This last week, I used my new to me 87 Circuit. My commuting is done till school starts again and I'll probably go back to the Peugeot.
