Suggest me a bike!

Hello guys,

Actual question : Please suggest me a bike
- Intended use: Converting to ebike with BBSHD (mounts on BB) and used for commuting purposes.
- General: Strong is more important than weight, durability is more important than high tech, I prefer quality brands but don't require the lates, best or top-of-the-line parts..
- Frame: Strong! Preferable steel, but aluminium is also acceptable. Definitely no carbon! Should have the necessary mounts for a strong rear bike rack.
- Size: I'm 1m83cm (but slightly short legs for my height) and would like a comfortable upright riding position, so at least size 56-58cm (usually Large).
- BB: BSA 68mm BB (very important!). Good clearance around bottom bracket (no fancy bottom tube that starts horizontally from the BB).
- Front Fork: Front suspension (for flat-road, usual bumps/curbs but also stretches of cobblestones, nothing too fancy, at least 50mm of travel)
- Wheels: Strong, double chambered. Prefereable 28" or whatever is the current standard. Tires, something comfy (37mm?) fit for road/wet use.
- Brakes: Quality hydraulic disc brakes, bigger is better.
- Gears: Will be pedaling between 25kmph and 45kmph. No climbing (it's mostly flat here, just a few bridges). So no single speed, at least 3-5 gears, maximum 10/11 speed. IGH are acceptable but they need to beable to withstand high torque forces.
- Weight: not really important, but should hope to be under 20kg including fenders, pannier rack, ..

I'm 32 years old and have been riding a bike since I was just a few years old. For the last 15 years I've been riding a road bike on and off. Recently I started building my own ebikes and really love it. Currently I own a steel city bike (Achielle, Belgian brand) with a hub motor I mounted myself (25kmph limited), a downhill mountain bike with mid-motor and 200mm front/back suspension for having fun (45kmph limited) and a Specialized Roubaix road race bike. Now I would like to commute to work regularly with an ebike. I prefer to build things myself, so I would like to build this ebike myself as well.

thanks for your suggestions.

I was thinking Specialized AWOL (mostly because I own one) right up until I read the part about the front suspension. If that's the case, I'd have to say Salsa Fargo with a suspension fork. The Fargo is built to accomodate a 100mm travel front fork If I recall correctly. Otherwise, I got nuthin.'
