Snowing quite heavy over here (southern UK)

will have to scrap the ride in tomorrow morning

some people even prepared the off-roaders for the 10mm of snow that is ACTUALLY accumulating!

please note that our Golf Turbo runs 3PMSF tyres

That looks like the UK with the wheelie bins and roof tiles.

Must be in a dryish area as there is no cool moss on the roof tiles.

We've got a fair bit of snow on the ground, and it never goes more than a few days from Nov through about mid-april without some snow and/or ice around.

I'm investing in a velomobile for winter commuting.

I may also get a 3 wheel offroad trike for the really harsh days. I might have to install a snowplow on the front.

I like that brand

I think I got some 13" Quatracs for the car my kids share for year round use. They look a little more aggressive than those you linked to

I've got these Vredestein Wintrac XTreme 225 60 18 on my Cherokee for winter months

We just needed something for going to Germany over Xmas as the OEM Conti Contact 3 (I think) tyres aren't officially winter tyres and the car was bought in the UK.

The Vredesteins were only about £300 mounted, balanced, disp fee for 4 x 195 65 15

I wouldn't run anything older than 5 years ... you'd also fail MOT if there are any cracks due to age, which you'll usually see after 5 years.
