commuting in Green Bay WI

In July I will be starting a one week a month part time job in Green Bay WI. Will be flying in from the northeast. I would love to commute to work there. Will be flying with either a folder or with a bike box and a regular bike broken down. What I am wondering though (and I have cross posted in the regional sections) what the bicycle commuting is like in Green Bay. I have been in a number of smaller midwest towns and the roads connecting my hotel to the my work place do not seem particularly bike friendly (4-6) lane roads with speed limits around 40 -55 and not a great sidewalk for bike lane option. I toured GB for the interview but it was a whirlwind interview process and I didn't get a chance to really scope out the road conditions. Anyone with any experiences? thanks

@UberIM post the approximate addresses, or at least the areas you'd be commuting to and from.

I rode through Green Bay a couple of years ago while on a bike tour and had no problems at all. On my way through from SE to NW, I even detoured so I could visit iconic Lambeau Field. GB is just like any other small to medium sized city. Some bike infrastructure and manageable within the city. Outlying, auto-dependent area might be more challenging.https://cimg6.ibsrv.net/gimg/bikefor...6535ba167.jpeg

I will probably be commuting from hotels near Lambeau field (including Lodge Kohler) to Aurora Baycare Greenbrier Rd.

I don't know Green Bay at all, but I did notice the city has a bike share program, Green Bikes or something. I rode through there in early September and I saw those bikes around. If I were going for a week, I'd check out those for commuting purposes. Once things were settled and I knew my living situation etc I might ship a bike out, but that would wait.

Another thought, unrelated to the commute itself - will you be staying at the same hotel each time? If so, you could consider buying a local CL or co-op bike (or just flying yours out the first time), and then slip the right bellhop or valet the right dead president portrait, to arrange for secure storage of the bike during the three by-weeks. Will at least save some hassle on subsequent flights.
