Handlebar bag
Anyone know of some handlebar bags that hang level or below straight handlebars? I have a DIY light and don't want the bag to block it.
|
I fit my headlamp on the fork crown so as not to interfere with a bar bag.

Try Rivendell, www.rivbike.com. Look at their Candy Bar bag or the Hobo Bag.

How much volume do you need? I have been looking for storage options on my bike and like the looks of this one as a small handlebar bag.
http://www.wallbike.com/Berthoud/smallsaddlebag.html There are other options on that site that may work for you. The stuff isn't cheap, but I think it looks cool. |
you can get a cheap tube bag by Jandd for under 20 bucks that is meant for either under the saddle or on the handlebars, I think it's sold as a kid's bag - you can get it with an embroidered dinosaur or other creatures, or in standard black.

Consider mounting your light onto an Excess Access from Sidetrak. That way you can mount your light above your bag and not worry about it. Or mount your light on a brake or a front rack. Peter White at www.peterwhitecycles.com has lots of mounts that might work. The EA is here:

Thanks for the ideas. I like the looks of that candybag. Now if I could find a way to clean up my cables, they are looping all over the front of my bars.

I don't know how high are your bars, but something like this might be the solution.
