A VC motorist
This morning I was riding to work on a four lane street, almost no traffic, and a car came out of a side street on my left and turned left across four lanes, right into me. I was riding in the middle of the right lane, but there were no parked cars, so I pulled to the right and we shared the lane for a moment. I yelled out "HELLO!" to let him know I'm there. At the next stop sign, he rolled down his window and said, "You should be in the lane, not the edge of the road." I replied that I was in the lane until he turned into me, and he apologized -- I'm sure he never saw me.
I was dumbfounded. Not because a driver didn't see me -- that happens all the time. Usually when it happens, if the driver notices me I can expect the driver to yell at me to get on the sidewalk or off the road. This is the first time I've ever had a driver yell at me for not being VC enough!
