Starting to enjoy the cooler weather.
I have noticed on my commutes in 80F+ heat, I am getting a little sick of showing up at work feeling overheated. Some of my best feeling rides lately have been down in the 50's, and even a bit misty or drizzling late at night with my lights on. I guess I am turning into a Western Washington rain man. I have been wearing my classic tights for weather in the 50's and high 40's, but when it gets down to the low 40's or 30's, I will need something warmer.
All I need now is some good rain gear for cold winter. I have been wearing my Performance classic tights, but was thinking of getting some of these for winter/heavier rain. I am trying to keep the tight/jacket combo under $200, yet good quality stuff for riding in the rainy winters here on the Kitsap Peninsula. What ya think?

Well I didn't say I couldn't ride in the heat. I find it to be a challenge when I really push myself. However, as far as enjoying it goes, lately I have been having some fun with the cooler wetaher here when it starts to rain.
80F in the morning huh? That IS warm. It's usually in the low 60's here in the morning during summer.

Let's enjoy the warm temps while they're here.

Their cold weather gear is awesome.
And it's something that is really important.
I won't ride if I cold...that's it!
I have wind off of the ocean here. Hateful.
Why are talking about this stuff now!!!!

You're supposed to wear a shirt over it, but for the ride home, I don't! Haven't worn a Jersey since March. The stuff dries in about 30mins Give 'em a try! They are tight but comfy.

97.5 degrees right now at 1:30 p.m. in Central Texas, on the way up to 101. I suspect it will get higher than that.
Warmth, I enjoy; a blast furnace, I don't!

I see they got a Camo lineup out now, I'll have to grab some just for the humour.

I would never think of wearing anything over it unless it was too cold, then i'd just wear something else.

For the Triflex bibs, I would get the regular Triflex tights (not bibs) and wear them over normal bibs. I have a pair of the bib tights with chamois and while they are pretty warm and will get you by, the chamois isn't the best (compared to my Ultra shorts it sucks) and they really should have added extra windblocking where the boys live. The double layer of Triflex tights over normal bibs should be a lot warmer, or so I hope since that's my plan this winter. For me, the Triflex tights worked best between 45-55F. Any time it got below 40, certain areas got too cold for comfort but it was still bearable. Above 55 and they are way too warm.

Yup, I know it's coming.
Last week I grabbed a pair of Sugoi fleece lined tights & a fall jacket. They should be good to late Nov. or snowfall whichever comes first.
Just yesterday I suffered from sunburn at the Chicago Air Show & today feels like mid-60's argh!
Did I mentioned that I am ready to put away the road bikes (have 2) & dust off the trusty sirrus w/ cross tires?
