Clipless pedal conundrum

Hello there.

I recently got some spd pedals and shoes and have started to cycle to school every morn with the clipless set up. However, with all my work and stuff already in my bag im finding it's just too heavy to put my shoes in my bag aswell. I dont want to leave my shoes at school incase i need them elsewhere. The solution i feel, is platforms that clip into the spd. Ive got the ones that came with the spds but they are far to thin and uncomfortable to cycle any distance on them. So, does any body know if you can get decent sized platforms able to accomodate toeclips that will clip into an spd pedal and if so where can you get them.

Thank you very much

Buy another pair of shoes. Leave one at school and one at home.
If you really must use platforms I would suggest buying a pair of platform pedals. IMHO SPD adapters should only be used for the occasional short ride in street clothes.

I love my crank brothers mallets for clipless + platform riding. I realize that doesn't help with your SPD problem, but I wanted you to know that other options exist. Extra/cheap shoes, is the simplest answer.
