I took some vids on my commute for fun

I got a new cellphone not long ago (Motorola E815 with Verizon) and decided to test out its video recording capabilities and take some vids of my commute from work to the local university (University of TN - Knoxville) campus to meet a friend... Each vid is 15 seconds long and in 3gpp2 format. You'll need either Realplayer or Quicktime to view them.. Unfortunately that's just what my phone records in. I could have made it take longer vids but I didn't want them to be huge. Anyway, here ya go (last one is on campus).

Hehe you gotta learn to ride no handed in case you need to text message someone, unwrap a sandwich, call someone, or take a jacket off or something.

How unreal is that? I have to try it. I never use the video on my phone but I'll give it ago. The problem with my commute is I'll probably get hit by a car or other cyclist trying.

Looks very friendly! I'd be on a fixie with that type of terrain. I get 45 seconds of flat and then hit a 25% hill.

That's actually about the only real flat area on my commute... and I don't always take that route since it's actually a good bit longer. I just happened to be going that way because I was going to campus to meet someone. Also, most of the vids were taken while riding no-handed. I do a lot of that when it's fairly flat. I dunno why, but I just enjoy riding no-handed... terrain and traffic permitting of course.

That's a great idea! I'm going to mount my video camera to the bars right now!

Anyone want to see some cool vids of my wind trainer rides?

A while back way124 posted a video of his commute He built a shock absorbing camera mount for his mtb. Kudos man. The vids are pretty impressive, I actually keep them on my computer at work and occasionally turn them on as a screensaver.
