TA is great. Some think they are too obsessed with bike lanes, but on the whole we're lucky to have them.

Anybody doing the Moonlight Ride through Central Park Friday night? I've never done one and since the woman won't be around i'm looking for something to do that won't get me in trouble with her :) It starts 10pm at Columbus Circle.
Oboeguy i'm assuming you'll be out of town since my track record setting up rides with you dictates such things, but if you're not you should join me.

I won't be here for the moonlight rides :(, but you should definitely go on them. There's 3, one in CP tomorrow, one in PP on Sat. and one by Riverside later this month. I went on last month's and even though it was drizzly, we still got some hard core nuts out to ride. When the weather's nice, expect a larger crowd. Bring blinkies and headlights and prepare for a leisurely 8-10 mi. ride through the dark.

Next month, I'm definitely going to try to make both the CP and PP rides and I'll also try to make this month's Riverside ride.

Its pretty cool riding through the park in the dark. All you see is this long string of lights winding through the park. Then you have some MTB'ers criss crossing back and forth. People have lights blazing. Generally a fun time. You get to scare the heck out of couples making on on benches in what they thought were remote areas.

Am i better off taking the MTB/commuter or am i going to be ok on the roadie? i'd prefer to take the road bike, but it's not really a big deal.
