Whats on your holiday wish list?

Well with the holidays just around the corner, everyone I'm sure is thinking of what to get and what to try and ask for. So what are you asking for to help with commuting?

Heres mine:

IllumiNITE Intrepid Pant
Peformance IllumiNITE Jacket
New helmet
A real light set (I have a set of bell from walmart that are alright for semi dark but not full dark)
Assorted Winter riding/commuting gear (tights/leg/arm warmers/jackets)

Whats on your list?

Fall gloves.
Arm warmers.
Goggles.
L&M Arc HID light.
Shoe covers.

My girlfriend ended up getting me the l&m HID for my anniversary.
Everything else I bought for myself, I couldn't wait till christmas heh.

So now all I have left are like, misc toys like I wanted a 3 watt LED headlamp for mountaineering/hiking and a bunch of DVD's.

If I want anything good, I have to buy it myself, being 35 years old and single. But my relatives are predictable, so I can be fairly sure of getting some breakfast cereal, pancake mix, ground coffee, and maybe some shirts and sweaters. So that's "bike fuel," and bike-motor insulation.

My own wish list, stuff I might eventually get for myself:
  • send in my old Niterider dual-beam halogen for repair
  • a new chain to have on hand for when it's time to change chains
  • a Cateye LD1000 blinkie
I'd add "and a full Ultegra bike kit for my Paramount frameset" but that ain't realistic from a financial viewpoint

A full body massage and a tube amp. Uhm, maybe I should get the tube amp first.

I'm fairly greedy and want an awful lot. But come December I have a feeling that I'll settle for electric heated sox and gloves.

Lights and clothes mainly (yeah, I'm 19 and actually ASKING for clothes as a gift), and assorted parts for the bike that I'm converting for my younger brother. I also wouldn't mind getting an old bike for building it into a fixed commuter for the snow.

I told my mom not to get anything for my birthday (May) until I got my new bike (ended up getting it in October), so I should be able to get everything that I need this year with the combined gifts.

a nice set of lights is 1st on the list...

the rest of list consists of a nice entry level road bike, more clothing for cycling, new road tires, a trainer, etc. i'll easily settle for the lights though, which is a big gift in my book.

This isn't strictly for commuting but... I got an early gift from my dad of a rear wheel to help complete my road bike's 9-speed upgrade. It'd be nice to get a matching front wheel. Honestly, though, having just done this nice upgrade, I'm not feeling too greedy. I'm thinking for my brother, though, who is now employed at regular hours (as opposed to evening hours or not working) we'll have to get together a set of lights so he can ride after work or before work as the mornings get darker.

Nothing on my xmas list. We are remodeling our bathroom and have collectively decided to skip xmas for me and my wife. Our son will get an assortment of toys.

With some of my spending cash I plan on the following:
1) Panniers (just bought the rack)
2) New headlight
3) A blinkie or two

Ditto on the wool. I just discovered Icebreaker products thanks to bikeforums.

I don't celebrate the holidays, but it's on my own wish list.

Quit trying to live my life.
Did I ask for any sore buns? No. I just want to live one or two select portions of your life, which if memory serves correct, you lived from someone else.

What kind of Tube amp?
Well, I'm old school and a decent pair of leather boots never failed me yet. But then they never lasted for the full four hours either. So any one of the four hour brands would be okay with me.

You know this thread is getting me depressed. It may be "it's better to give then to recieve", but when you pass 40... it's not better, it's reality! And to think, all I wanted was a pair of sox. A four hour pair of sox.
