Colorado Commuters, I know you!

I've seen you passing me, stopped at lights, or just randomly along the trail. We've probably even chatted at a stop about something bike related. The thing is, I'd like to know the Coloradans (Denver especially) that are here by pic. I've posted mine, it is from a couple years ago and I'm about 25 pounds heavier (precommuting days) but you'll get the picture. (no pun intended)

Who else is down to post?

I'll see if I can find anything, I hate having my pic taken so not many exist. where do you ride?

I live in Cap Hill and work up near Edgewater. So I bike everywhere inbetween and on weekends find myself as far out as Englewood visiting friends or, depending on the day, just about anyone of the closer suburbs.

Recently I've taken up to talking more at stops and really enjoy those moments that I get to bond with other bikers, even if only for a few seconds.

In the summer once or twice a week I ride from Boulder out to I-25 and 119. I usually take the diagonal all the way out and 52 back. It's great that some people stick with it all year. It was dang cold out there yesterday, and it sure gets dark early these days ... yet I still drove past several brave souls.

Dude of Life,

Nice Hat!

I'm down in the Springs where the trails are smooth, the bike lanes are few, but the micro-brews are plenty. Don't get up to Denver unless I can get my Jeep to start or catch the T-rex. This pic was taken at the GABF last month.

Always smile at your fellow cyclists!

Sorry, no picts. The gleam from my bald head breaks cameras. :p

I will see if I can get one taken with the digital camera.

I ride variations of this route: platte river trail from 88th to the cherry creak trail. Cherry Creek to Downing. Downing to franklin. Iliff, Dhalia, Happy Canyon, Monaco across Belleview, and Quebec to work.

Anyways, I'm the ninja looking dude with white tennies. When my new yellow jacket gets here, that will change. Too much black.

Wow! thats quite the commute. I commute from Broadway and Belleview to I-25 and Arapahoe usually down the Highline canal. What time of morning are you around Quebec?

DataJunkie 11-18-05 07:56 AM

It ranges a bit according to my route, energy level, etc
The 18 mile version = 6:30-7:00 am
The entire length = 7:00-8:00 am

davidmcowan 11-18-05 09:25 AM

You do 18 miles in 30 minutes?! Are you on the trail the whole time? Any stop lights or traffic?

DataJunkie 11-18-05 09:32 AM

Sorry. That is the approximate arrival time for quebec.

I wish I could do 18 miles in 30 minutes. :)
It's more like 45min to an hr.

Even more important would be thornton to DTC in an hr. I doubt I could ever do that in an hr. I have a hard enough time keeping it below 2 hrs at the moment.

I usually hit Quebec around 6:30. We should meet at Mcdonalds sometime for some coffee and bike talk.
