Velcro/bungee gadget to attach flashlight to handlebars? Where to get one?

The straps are specifically designed for flashlight attachment and aren't a kludge. I belief they work with specific style lights. I remember seeing these for sale somewhere on the web, can't for the life of me find them again when googling or anything else. I think they were mentioned here, too. The thought dawned in my ageing brain that some of my extra battery powered flashlight style dive lights might do extra service this time of year when it's dark before I start home and I need to see as well as be seen. The air is cold enough (I'll say) to keep them running cool out of the water.

Thanks in advance,

Bill

Your description makes me think of an object that has BLOCK in the name. I think made originally for holding U-Locks. A rubber block with a velcro strap. Lemme look...Yes. It's a Twofish product. Lockblock. see it at http://www.twofishunlimited.com/bike.html.

Is that what you are thinking of? They work well for attaching a mini mag light to handlebars.

Many thanks, either will do, hadn't seen the first one, lockblocks was what I had looked at and will order. Thanks again,

Bill

Just get a rubber "o" ring large enough and attach the flashlight to the bar. As long as you have decent handlebar wrap and a tight enough fit with the "o" ring you are set to go.

I just got some Lockblocks at the LBS and I think that's what you're looking for. Just be warned that the part that holds the flashlight is very narrow and not really designed for anything bigger than a Mini-Mag. I was surprised because I was planning on using them for slightly larger lights.
